A Chicago Family Photographer
As a third generation artist, I am fortunate to carry on a passion that has been in my family for decades. Having a father who was a photographer and a mother who was a teacher, I knew from an early age that art would always be a part of my life. After graduating college in 2007, I went into business as a wedding photographer with my father, while also teaching art in Chicago Public Schools.
In 2016 I gave birth to my first child, and like many first time mothers, my life and my career changed in an instant. Since then, I’ve been photographing newborns, children and families and I haven’t looked back! Being a working mother allows me to continuously grow in my profession and find common ground with my clients. Not to mention giving me a baby fix during newborn sessions!
My goal in working with my clients is to skillfully capture expressions and moments in a baby’s face or in a family’s interactions. It is important to make you feel comfortable and relaxed during our session so that those moments feel natural. I use lighting, posing, and framing to suit the environment we are working in.
Photographing in homes and on locations creates an exciting challenge to make each environment my studio. I enjoy the balance of planning for photo sessions, while still having to use my creative and technical skills for situations out of my control. That’s when the best moments happen!
From newborns to adults, I love meeting new families, working in new spaces, and creating art. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
